In Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, the “Turkey Scholarship” program was introduced, which was implemented under the coordination of the Presidency for Overseas Turks and Related Communities (YTB).
Educational advisor to the Turkish Embassy in Sarajevo d. Faruk Berat Akçeşme participated in the promotion of the Turkish Scholarship Program held in Mostar.
In his statement here, Akçeşme said: “Every year, nearly 180,000 students from 170 countries apply for the Turkish Scholarship Programme. We know that the number of people from Bosnia and Herzegovina who received scholarships from Turkey and went to university is more than 1,500. Today we came to Mostar to promote this program.” He used the phrase.
Id Tulik, Principal of Mostar Karagoz School, where the program was promoted, expressed his gratitude to Turkey for offering scholarships and university education opportunities to students from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“The only thing students have to do is focus on their education”
The program was presented in Nice, Serbia at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Nice as part of the “Turkish Culture Day”.
Inviting Serbian students to apply for the Turkish Scholarship Program, the educational advisor to the Turkish Embassy in Belgrade, Dr. Mehmet Yilmazata indicated that the ministries of education in Turkey and Serbia are working to enhance cooperation between universities in the two countries.
Yilmazata said, “This is a big program that includes all departments. On this occasion, students will have the opportunity to learn Turkish, their plane tickets will be covered and they will have health insurance. All the students have to do is focus on their education.” He said.
Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Nice, Prof. Dr. Doctor. Niko Radulovic also noted that the program is a great opportunity for students.
