Tuğba Danışmanz and Necati Er, who achieved great success in athletics at the third European Games held in Poland, won their medals in Serbia before the Senior Balkan Championships to be held in Serbia.

The European Games Committee did not award medals in athletics to the organization and sent them to the athletes’ addresses. Two of the medals received by the Turkish Athletics Federation were handed over to the athletes of Serbia.

National sprinter Tugba Danishmans, who represented Turkey in the women’s triple jump, won the silver with a time of 14.16, and Necati Ir with a time of 16.71 in the triple jump. Athletes heading to the Balkan Championships for Seniors to be held in Serbia received their medals at a ceremony organized by President Fatih Şenmar.

National sprinter Yasmani Escobar was awarded the Tuğba Danışmanz Medal, and Ramil Guliyev was awarded the Necati Er Medal. President Sentemar congratulated the athletes for their success in the tournament by handing over their trophies.

Ismail Nazir, who won a medal at the European Games, also added a European Games medal to his career. The 20-year-old national runner won the bronze medal with a time of 48.84 in the final. In the 800-meter race, Mehmet Celik won the bronze medal with a time of 1.46.84. The federation will present the medals of these two athletes to them at a ceremony to be held in the coming days.
