The “Turkey-Serbia Friendship Bike Race”, which has become a tradition since 2018 in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, was held this year for the survivors of the Kahramanmaraş earthquake on February 6.
Mardin Cycling Club members were special guests for the race, which was attended by more than 250 cyclists.
Turkey’s ambassador to Belgrade, Hami Aksoy, stated that today they celebrated national sovereignty on April 23, Children’s Day and Ramadan feast, adding that 36 people from the earthquake zone participated in the bike race.
Marko Keselj of the Serbian Ministry of Sports stated that such events contribute to the interrelationships and said, “After the earthquakes, our teams from Serbia took part in the search and rescue efforts.” He said.
