Serbian media published a list of about 14,000 profiles on social media working for the ruling party and the names behind them.
It turned out that more than 3,000 users manage social media profiles that systematically do propaganda in favor of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the ruling party, most of them employees of state institutions, local governments and publicly funded institutions.
After it became clear that the state employees were behind all this, it came to mind whether all this was done during working hours and whether the wages they received for this job were included in their salaries.
According to the analysis of cybersecurity expert Ivan Markovich, bots are most active between 8:00 and 17:00, which are business hours.
After the names behind the bot accounts were revealed, some of them admitted to phishing and apologized, while others deleted their profiles.
The Serbian Progressive Party has not yet responded to the published list.
