Institutions and organizations of Turkish minorities in Western Thrace condemned the attack on the Koran in Sweden.

In a statement issued by the Friendship, Equality and Peace Party on its social media account, it stated that the ugly stand and action against the Quran had been strongly condemned.

In the Mufti of Xanthi Mukhtar’s statement, it was emphasized that it was unacceptable for the Swedish authorities to regard the attack on the Qur’an as free-thinking.

The statement read: “As Western Thrace Xanthi Turks, we strongly condemn and denounce this ugly attitude and action against our holy book, the Qur’an, and our religion, Islam.” expression was used.

In the statement issued by the Turkish Xanthi Federation, it was noted that this action is an example of a hate crime and attack against Islam, and stated that necessary measures should be taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring.
