Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan assessed developments in northern Kosovo during his telephone talks with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovar Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Tensions are rising again between Serbia and Kosovo.
Serbia, which considers Kosovo a province of its own, decided to deploy army personnel on the borders of this country, which caused a crisis in the region.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held telephone talks with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
According to the Communications Directorate’s statement, Serbian President Vucic and Kosovar Prime Minister Kurti conveyed their congratulations to President Erdogan on his re-election to the presidency.
He touched on developments in northern Kosovo
During the meetings, during which bilateral relations and regional issues were discussed, President Erdoğan stated that the only way to establish lasting peace and stability in the region regarding developments in northern Kosovo is progress in the dialogue process.
President Erdogan stated that Turkey is ready to contribute its role to the dialogue process.
