The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli forces’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, their interference in the Qibla Mosque, and the detention of large numbers of Palestinian civilians.

Statement included.

The statement stressed that these attacks on worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan are “unacceptable in any way”:

We are very concerned about the escalation that has already spread to the region, especially Gaza. The Israeli government must immediately cease all provocations, actions and attacks that could lead to a further escalation of tensions in the region.”

What happened?

After Tarawih prayers last night, a group of Palestinians took shelter in the Qibla Mosque inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, after fanatical Jewish settlers called on them to raid Al-Aqsa Mosque because of the Passover holiday and the sacrifices there.

During the raid on Al-Aqsa at the time of Suhoor, the Israeli forces intervened violently against those who sought refuge in the Qibla Mosque and turned the temple into a battlefield. The occupation forces continued their raid after the Fajr prayer.

During the raids, more than 200 people who had taken refuge in the Qibla mosque were arrested.

After the occupation police raided Al-Aqsa Mosque, rockets were fired towards Israel from the besieged Gaza Strip.

According to the statement made by the Israeli army spokesman, five missiles were fired towards the city of Sderot, four of which were destroyed by air defense systems, and one missile landed in open ground.

The Israeli planes launched air strikes on two points in the western Gaza Strip, in response to the rocket fire.
