Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Schmygal stated that due to missile attacks by the Russian military on Ukraine’s energy infrastructures, significant restrictions will be applied to electricity consumption in the country during the winter season.
In a written statement on the social networking site, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal indicated that massive damage has been caused by recent attacks by Russian forces on energy infrastructures in various regions of Ukraine.
Schmigal said that all thermal and hydroelectric power plants in the country were damaged as a result of the attacks:
“After the missile attacks in the country, all thermal and electrical power stations were damaged. 40 percent of the high-voltage network facilities were damaged. Each one of us should be aware that we will face significant restrictions on electricity consumption this winter.”
Schmigal noted that the government has allocated the necessary budget to solve energy problems across the country and that intensive repair work is continuing, stressing that providing electricity services to hospitals, military, industrial and other vital infrastructures and homes is a priority.
Since the beginning of the war, the government has allocated more than a trillion hryvnias (about 507 billion Turkish liras) for security and defense of Ukraine. In 2023, our military will be a priority.” Use phrases.
