In his speech on the occasion of his assumption of the OSCE presidency in 2023, North Macedonian Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani stated that Ukraine will be the main priority and the main security issue in the OSCE presidency in North Macedonia.

This year, Macedonia will chair the world’s largest regional security organization, which includes 57 participating countries from North America, Europe and Asia.

Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said: “Russia’s irresponsible and unjustified military attack on Ukraine has undermined the European security architecture and threatens peace and stability on the continent and beyond. Our presidency will seek to preserve the essential functions and operations of the organization by ensuring its ability to support crisis areas and resolve conflicts in the OSCE region In Europe, regional instability and the potential for new crises require continued attention.” Use his statements.

The new OSCE chairman, Osmani, explained that the focus of the OSCE’s Macedonian presidency, which will take place under the slogan “This is about the people,” will be on the interests of the people and the work of the organization’s field missions.

Usmani said: “As a top priority of our presidency, we plan to strengthen our focus on the field, which is crucial to support and enhance the status and role of people, who are the ultimate beneficiaries of the work of the OSCE. Our plan is to help populations facing conflict and others who need support.” He said.
