The US Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey M. Hovenir said his country is committed to supporting Kosovo.
Speaking at the pre-tender conference for the 100MW solar energy installation organized by the Ministry of Economy of Kosovo in cooperation with USAID, Hovenir stated that Kosovo enterprises must meet the requirements of the European Union (EU) on renewable energy, and this is the right step on the way to European Union.
“I am glad that we are working on the future of energy. This is a step towards meeting renewable energy requirements in the European Union. The energy crisis has shown us how important regular supply is, and I am very happy that the private sector is participating in renewable energy because it is of vital importance.”
Hovenet stressed that Kosovo meets all the requirements for producing clean energy, and has the workforce to do so.
