Voting for the second round of the presidential elections has begun in the Turkish diplomatic missions in the Bulgarian cities of Sofia, Plovdiv and Burgas.
The 7,900 voters registered in the foreign electoral register in Bulgaria will be able to vote at the border gates, as this country is a neighbor of Turkey.
Voters in the country will be able to vote until May 22.
Plovdiv’s Turkish Consul General Korhan Kongero and his wife played the match in the morning.
Kongero told Anadolu Agency (AA) that about 650 people went to the polls in Plovdiv in the first round, and that he expects citizens to be very interested in the second round.
Kongero explained that they have taken all the necessary security measures to ensure the smooth running of the elections, and said that after the polls are closed, the ballot boxes will be delivered to the Turkish Embassy in the capital, Sofia, and then to Turkey in sealed bags.
