Belgium

Turkish citizens residing in Belgium voted in 3 cities for the second round of the presidential elections in Turkey. While the polls closed in the capital Brussels and Antwerp at 22:00 local time this evening, the voting process in the city of Hasselt continued for two days, from May 20 to 21.

Switzerland

The voting process, which took place in Switzerland, has ended due to the second round of the presidential elections scheduled for May 28 in Turkey.

Voting was completed at the polls held at the Turkish Embassy in Bern and the Consulates General in Zurich and Geneva on May 20 at 22:00 local time.

The bags containing the ballot papers used in Switzerland will be delivered to the transport committee at Lyon airport in France by road tomorrow, and will be sent to Turkey on a Turkish Airlines (THY) plane.

The Turkish Consul General in Geneva, Ipek Zeytinoglu Ozkan, told Anadolu Agency that although the voting period for the second round was 5 days, there was a high turnout.

Voting for the second round of Sweden’s presidential election, which began on May 20, ended at 22:00 CEST.

The votes cast for 4 days at the Stockholm Fair in the capital, Stockholm, were counted by polling officials, bagged and sealed.

According to unofficial figures, 14,221 people voted in Sweden, with 42,800 Turkish voters registered. In the May 14 election, that number was 13,669.

“Everything went well during the voting process. There was no setback and there was great interest from our citizens. I hope the results will be beneficial to our country and our nation,” Ozer Ekin, head of the Election Coordination Center of the Justice and Development Party of Sweden, said in a statement to AA reporter. Greece

In Greece, the voting process for the second round of the presidential elections in Turkey has ended.

The election process was completed with the closing of polls in Greece, where voting continued until May 24 at the Turkish Consulate General in Athens-Per and the Consulates General in Thessaloniki, Komotini and Rhodes.

With the polls closing at 22:00 local time, votes were sealed by being bagged.

The sealed bags were taken to a special room with three locks on the door for safekeeping.

The sealed voting bags in the diplomatic bag are on their way to be delivered to Türkiye tomorrow.

Turkish voters living in the Netherlands were also able to vote for two days on May 20-21 in Eindhoven.

After the polls closed, the ballots were sealed and bagged under the supervision of the polls committee and observers.

Ballot papers will be delivered to YSK by air transport to Turkey via diplomatic mail.

In the first round of the presidential elections and the 28th session of Parliament, 146 thousand 179 out of 286 thousand 753 registered voters in the Netherlands voted.

France

Voting ended in the second round of the presidential elections in Paris, the capital of France, where about 800,000 Turkish citizens live, and in the cities of Strasbourg, Lyon, Nantes, Bordeaux and Marseille.

In the cities of Orleans, Mulhouse and Clermont-Ferrand, Turkish voters cast their ballots for two days on May 20-21.

The ballot papers in France will be sent to Türkiye by air tomorrow.

“Our citizens voted fluently thanks to the large number of ballot boxes,” Turkish Consul General in Paris Serdar Bilintepe told Anadolu Agency. He said.

“Our citizens showed their preference and rushed to the polls,” said Pilintip. He mentioned that a disabled citizen covered a distance of 200 kilometers in the second round and came to vote in Paris with his family, and a harmonious atmosphere prevailed during the voting process.

Austria

Voting for the second round of the presidential election scheduled for May 28 in Austria has been completed.

Almost 111,000 voters in the country cast their ballots at the Consulate Generals of Vienna, Salzburg and Bregenz on May 20-24.

After the voting process ended, Turkey’s ambassador to Vienna, Ozan Seyhun, made a statement to the press.

Ceyhun stated that 67,726 people went to the polls across Austria and the turnout rate was 60.47 percent.

Pointing to the high voting rates in all points in Austria and the voters showing great interest in the ballot box, Jehoon thanked all the officials in the ballot box for their dedication to work.

Ceyhun said, “We had a beautiful election in Austria where everything can be resolved through speaking and dialogue, even if there are minor problems, good citizenship and the example of a voter who will set an example for the whole world.” He said.

The Turkish Consul General in Vienna, Kafer Mert Ozmert, also stated that the ballot papers will be transported to Munich, Germany, by official vehicles, tonight, and will be handed over to officials of the Supreme Elections Council there.
