During the search conducted by the police teams of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia in the capital, Skopje, weapons and ammunition were found and one person was arrested.
The Ministry of Interior’s statement on the matter stated the following:
Today (18.05.2023), the 35-year-old Associated Press from Skopje was detained by police officers of the Unlawful Trade Unit of the Skopje Police Department.
During court-ordered searches at two locations in Skopje, ammunition, a “Scorpion” automatic pistol, a handgun of unknown make and caliber, and two shotguns were found.
The person has been detained at the police station and will be prosecuted after all the papers are completed.”
