Ziraat Bank, which has been operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 26 years, has opened a new branch in Zevenice.
Ziraat, which started operations in 1997 immediately after the war in 1992-1995 in Bosnia and Herzegovina and became the first foreign-owned bank in the country, added a new branch to its branches in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The opening of the branch was attended by Turkish Ambassador to Sarajevo Sadik Babur Vergen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ziraat Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bulent Swer, officials of the municipality of Zevenice and citizens.
In his statement here, George indicated that the opening of the new branch is of great importance for the cooperation between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina and for the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Suvad Butkovic, one of the municipal trustees, noted that the branch opened by the bank in Zivinice is of great importance for their city.
With the opening, the number of Ziraat Bank branches in BiH has reportedly increased to 35.
