The Promised Land for the Children of Israel is the land that God promised them, that is, the Promised One. The Israelites had to migrate constantly since ancient times in order to reach the land that God believed to have promised them. Eventually, however, the Jews established Israel and began persecuting the Palestinian people, believing that Palestine was within the Promised Land. We explained to you what the Promised Land is, where it is located, and whether Turkey is among these lands.

What is the Promised Land?
Judaism is a monotheistic religion and their holy book is the Torah. There are certain beliefs in Judaism and Islam. Belief in the hereafter, monotheism, prophethood, and Christ are among the examples that are given to them. There are two distinct features that distinguish Judaism from other religions; The first is the belief in “choice” and the other is the belief in the “Promised Land”. In the Torah, the Promised Land and belief in election complement each other. In Judaism, God created the world out of nothing and is the owner of everything. According to this belief, God gives the land he wants to whomever he wants, and no one can object to that. Thus God gave the land that is now in Palestine to Abraham and his descendants forever.
What is the Promised Land?

The Promised Land is the name God gave the Promised Land to Abraham and his descendants. The exact boundaries of this area are not clear. However, it is believed that it is the lands that today include the lands of Palestine and Israel. The following words are found in chapter 15 of Genesis in the Torah:
“On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abraham and said: From the river of Egypt to the great river to the Euphrates, I gave this land to your offspring, the Kenites and the Kenizzites, the Kadmones and the Hittites, the Perizzis and the Raphas, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgash and the Jebusites ».
Given these words, the vast region from the Euphrates to the Nile is among the lands promised to the Israelites. However, this definition is still debated as its limits are not fully defined.
Is Türkiye in the Promised Land?

As we have just mentioned, the definition of a very large area from the Euphrates to the Nile is used for these lands. The Euphrates River defines the borders of Tunceli, Sivas, Erzincan, Erzurum, Şanlıurfa, Elazig, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Adiyaman and Malatya provinces of our country. Then it enters the territory of Syria, then Iraq.
Accordingly, Türkiye falls within the Promised Land.
The Nile River passes through 11 African countries. These countries are Egypt, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Burundi, Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, and Eritrea. Given the definition of “the very large region from the Euphrates to the Nile,” this region includes a large territorial unit.
